Papa John’s Pizza corporate restaurants in North Carolina and South Carolina are partnering with Charlotte Bobcats star basketball player Michael Kidd-Gilchrist to raise funds for A Child’s Place, a program that has been working to erase the impact of homelessness on children and their education for the last 24 years.

One week per month from February to May, Papa John’s will offer the MKG Special, which is two medium pizzas with up to 2 toppings each for $14 ordered online using the promotion code MKG.  From each of those offers redeemed, Papa John’s will donate $2 to A Child’s Place.  The first week this promotion will be valid is February 25 to March 3.

“All of us at A Child’s Place are incredibly grateful to Papa John’s, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and pizza-lovers in the Carolinas for teaming up to help the homeless children we serve,” said A Child’s Place Executive Director Annabelle Suddreth.

“As a professional athlete, I understand the importance of team work,” said Kidd-Gilchrist. “That’s why I’m teaming up with your ‘Better Pizza’ company, Papa John’s. Together we’re helping to improve the lives of homeless children. A percentage of your order will go to A Child’s Place, a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the effects of child homelessness. So please join our team and let’s make a difference together!”

“Papa John’s has always developed programs to give back to the community,” said Papa John’s Operations Vice President Mike Smith.  “This partnership with Michael will help raise funds for those who need it most, children who have no home.”

“There is nothing more important than helping kids in need. At Papa John’s, we believe in helping to make a Better World and we are so excited to be able to partner with A Child’s Place and with Michael to do just that.” said John Schnatter, Founder, President and CEO of Papa John’s International, Inc.’
