“The Wells Fargo/Bank of America Charity Dodgeball Tournament: Clash of the Interns” will be held at 5:30 p.m. July 18 at The EpiCentre Pavilion in Charlotte.
All proceeds will benefit A Child’s Place, a nonprofit organization that provides services to homeless children in the Charlotte area. Tim Palmer, Abby Harrill, Sarah Oddo, Ravi Patel and David Price, all interns at Wells Fargo who are studying business administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, are the event organizers. Of course, you don’t have to be an intern to play – the event is open to individuals of all ages and affiliations.
All money raised from the event will go to A Child’s Place, which provides an array of services to homeless children in the Charlotte area. “This is something that is really important because I have gone to school with kids that are homeless,” Palmer said. “It is great that A Child’s Place is there to lend support to these kids.”
“Tim has been a long-time supporter of A Child’s Place,” said Annabelle Suddreth, ACP Executive Director. “While attending South Mecklenburg High School, he raised thousands of dollars for ACP by hosting dodgeball tournaments. We are thrilled that Tim and his coworkers continue to support ACP and its client children. Their donation will truly make an impact on the lives of our client children.”
The cost is $40 per team (6-8 players) or $7 per individual (you will be placed on a team). To sign up for the tournament or make a donation, visit http://dodgeball.eventzilla.net. Additional questions on the event can also be directed to Sarah Oddo at firstname.lastname@example.org or Tim Palmer at email@example.com.
